Lighten Up & Relax

These days [2019] the focus of my writing is to serve up some much needed humor and perspective to the gravely serious subject of narcissism and ghosting. Although I sometimes will write about serious content here, my overarching goal is to lighten the mood and poke fun at myself—specifically how I managed to get myself into such a crazy situation—and why I stupidly stayed there.

At the end of the day, it all comes out in the wash though. All’s well that ends well, as they say.

Self Awareness Squared

Hey ya’ll, I get it. I have no right to throw stones at anyone. I was a dolt who relied on an [obviously!] malfunctioning picker, so the mate I chose turned out to be a rather strange bedfellow. My bad. Oh well, we live and learn don’t we?

Full Disclosure

But, to be fair, Mr. Runaway Romeo Cheater Pants did occasionally emit of normalcy and humanity—or so he made it seem at the time. In other words, February 29th, every leap year, he was kind and loving. LOL

Obviously, I am jesting and being facetious, but in all all seriousness—based on his patterns of behavior and the cruel and inhumane way that he left—I suspect that he was always playing some sort of a stage part in our marriage. I can only surmise that any flashes of humanity were contemplatively purposed—designed to keep me hooked and looking for the best in him. At least until he was ready to jettison and dump me so he could go on to greener [$$$] pastures.

A slippery fellow that one. When I wasn’t expecting it, like an electric eel, he discharged all of his electrical current at once and disappeared.

Oh, well—as Steve Winwood says, “Keep on dancing”.

When you’re all over
When you know you’ve done all that you can do
Put on your dancing shoes
It’ll see you through

When time is flying
When you know there’s no end to these modern blues
Put on your dancing shoes
It’ll see you through

Life’s a dance
Put on your dancing shoes, take a chance
When you’re all over
When you know you’ve done all that you can do

Put on your dancing shoes
It’ll see you through
When time is flying
When you know there’s no end to these modern blues

Put on your dancing shoes
It’ll see you through
Keep on dancing
Keep on dancing
Keep on dancing
